History: Of Norse-Irish descent, has served both his Jarl and as a mercenary in most of Europe including a stint in the Varangian Guard. Unlike Richard, Njall's stint in the Guard did not end with a hasty departure after questions started being asked about a 'mislaid' paychest! He does on the other hand have no idea of how the Saxon fleet blockading the Danelaw mysteriously caught fire whilst pulled up on the beach.
